Volkswagen shares photos of Nivus using the same platform as Polo

German automotive giant Volkswagen shared the camouflage visuals of the new compact crossover model Nivus, which it will produce for the South American market. Using the same platform as VW's small-class hatchback Polo, the vehicle is expected to have an affordable price tag.
German automotive giant Volkswagen , which has recently expanded its compact crossover family with models such as T-Roc and T-Cross , announced in December of last year that it has developed a new compact crossover called Nivus in Brazil .
The company, which previously shared a short teaser about the vehicle, this time published the camo images of Nivus. Designed by Volkswagen's operation in Brazil, this handset has a coupe-inspired design.
Volkswagen Nivus uses the same platform as the Polo

Built on the same platform as the small-class hatchback of the German brand Polo , Nivus stands out with its stylish and sporty appearance. According to Volkswagen's statement, the vehicle comes with a 3-cylinder 1.0 TSI unit that produces 128 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque . Featuring only the front-wheel drive system, Nivus offers a 6-speed automatic transmission .
The compact crossover, which is almost Polo-size, has a very assertive luggage volume of 415 liters . Offering a quality look with LED day and stops, Nivus comes with 17-inch wheels . We do not currently have any information about the car's interior features, but we anticipate that this curiosity will soon be resolved.
The Nivus, which does not have a four-wheel drive system, produces 128 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.

Positioned under another compact crossover model T-Roc of Volkswagen, Nivus will be offered for sale in Brazil for the first time in June . The vehicle, which will be launched in other South American countries towards the end of 2020, will sail to Europe in the beginning of 2021 .
