The open air exhibition will begin as of today (March 12). The rocket was brought to the Houston Space Center on March 4 from the Cape Canaveral launch center in Florida . Some of the SpaceX engineers who placed the rocket on the platform in the exhibition were also responsible for the improvement of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket between the two launches. Paul Spana, responsible for the exhibition at the Houston Space Center, said that engineers were very excited to be part of this exhibition .

Spana said that these engineers saw the exhibition as "historical" and that SpaceX also called the rocket in the exhibition " monumental ". The 47.7-meter space rocket rests on two Y-shaped sleds.

Falcon 9 was launched for the first time on June 3, 2017, at the International Space Station ( ISS ). SpaceX had sent supplies to the ISS under its agreement with NASA. This launch also meant the first reuse of the SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft, and NASA's 100th flight from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida .

Landing on the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Falcon 9 was launched again six months later and landed on the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, just like the first time. SpaceX donated the first rocket to the Houston Space Center after making improvements to Falcon 9's design .
