Huawei Cloud , the artificial intelligence (AI) enterprise cloud service unit of Huawei , has developed an artificial intelligence-supported quantitative medical image analysis service for COVID-19 together with Huazhong University of Science & Technology and Lanwon Technology .

Huawei Cloud's AI- powered medical imaging service can automatically analyze CT (computed tomography) data and send it to doctors automatically and quickly. The system, which can accurately diagnose coronavirus, reduces the workload on doctors.

The service can diagnose cases in seconds using the powerful processing capability of the Huawei Ascend series AI chips. This service is tens of times faster than doctors' quantitative image evaluation, which greatly improves diagnostic efficiency.

Huawei Cloud's computer vision and medical image analysis technologies combine clinical information and laboratory results to help doctors more accurately differentiate the early, advanced and severe stages of the coronavirus by facilitating screening and control.

Using the Huawei Cloud AI Ascend cluster service and the ModelArts one-stop AI development and management platform, the platform provides strong support for universities and hospitals with medical image analysis, model training and assessment, and rendering.
