XPS 17 9700, a top segment model, will compete with Microsoft Surface Book 3 and Apple MacBook Pro 16 . So, what are the hardware features of this model? The device has Intel Core i9-10885H processor, 6 GB GDDR6 GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, 64 GB DDR4-2933 RAM and 4 TB PCIe NVMe internal storage.

The company will offer two different display options on its device. Users who want longer battery life will be able to choose 17 inch, FHD + , 60 Hz, InfinityEdge, sRGB min 100%, 500 nit screen. Users who want high screen performance will be able to choose 17-inch, UHD + , anti-reflection, InfinityEdge, 100% AdobeRGB, 500-nit screen.

The Dell XPS 17 will not have any USB-A ports. The company will instead offer 4 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports with DisplayPort. Dell will also provide customers with two different options for battery. Users who want the highest battery life can choose a 6-cell, 97 Wh smart lithium-ion battery with ExpressCharge support. Those who want a lighter model can choose a 3-cell 56 Wh smart lithium-ion battery.
