Benchmark Results of Intel's 10th Gen Desktop Processors

Intel seems ready to respond to AMD, which is growing in popularity on laptops with its next generation processors. Benchmark results from Intel's 10th generation processors promising a powerful performance have leaked.

Benchmark results from Intel's Comet Lake-S 10th generation desktop processors leaked. Some of the results are for the 8-core Core i7-10700K and 6-core Core i5-10600K . Both of these processors will be released against the 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 and the 6-core AMD Ryzen 5, which have been on the market for months and have been highly acclaimed for their performance.

In addition to the 6-core Core i5-10600K, the processors include the Core i5-10600KF.

KF model; It comes with the same chip as the Core i5-10600K but comes with a differently disabled iGPU. Intel Core i7-10700K contains 8 cores and 16 threads. The processor has 16 MB total cache and 125 W TDP. The chip will be 100 MHz faster on the single core processor, on the other hand it will be 100 MHz slower than the Core i9-9900K, which has a price of more than $ 500.

Intel's 10th generation processors challenge AMD:

Intel Core i7-10600K contains 6 cores and 12 threads. The chip with 12 MB total cache and 12 W TDP stands out faster than the 8th generation Core i7-8700K. The price of the Core i5 is estimated to be in the $ 220 to $ 270 range. If we look at the pricing of both chips, the Core i7-10700K will compete directly with the AMD Ryzen 7 3800X while the Core i5-10600K will compete with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X. Both processors have the same core and thread counts.

Geekbench v4 Single Core CPU Tests:
  • Intel Core i9-10900KF:6,287 points

  • Intel Core i7-10700K:6,018 points

  • Intel Core i5-10600K:6,081 points

  • Intel Core i5-10600KF: 6,070 points

  • AMD Ryzen 7 3800X:Approx 5,800 points

  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X:Approx 5,700 points

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600X:Approx 5,700 points

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600:Approximately 5,500 points

Geekbench v4 Multi Core CPU Tests:
  • Intel Core i9-10900KF:39,103 points

  • AMD Ryzen 7 3800X:About 35,000 points

  • Intel Core i7-10700K:34,221 points

  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X:Approximately 34,000 points

  • Intel Core i5-10600K:28,673 points

  • Intel Core i5-10600KF:28,541 points

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600X:Approximately 28,400 points

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600:Approx 27,600 points

Pros of Intel's 10th generation desktop processors:
  • Higher single-threaded performance

  • Higher working speeds

  • Better overclocking features

  • SSD support

  • Cooler than AMD CPUs

Pros of 3rd generation Ryzen desktop processors from AMD:
  • Higher multi-threaded performance

  • More cores / threads / cache

  • 7 nm architecture

  • Equal single-threaded performance with Intel

  • Much lower power consumption
