China-based smartphone testing and comparison platform AnTuTu has published the 'most powerful Android smartphones' list for August. While

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 and the Snapdragon 865+ overclocked version of the same processor mark the shared list, it was noteworthy that all brands on the list are based in China.

Mi 10 Ultra, Xiaomi's newest smartphone in the Mi 10 series, has the world's best smartphone camera according to DxOmark, and was the highest average performance smartphone of all Android phones in August, according to AnTuTu. Let's underline that the model AnTuTu is based on is a 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage version.

The most powerful Android phones of August 2020, according to AnTuTu
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra - 646.730

  • IQOO 5 - 637.616

  • Asus ROG Phone 3 - 629.245

  • Black Shark 3S - 620.311

You may have noticed that the new flagship Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, announced by Samsung on August 5, are not on the list. While preparing the

"best Android phones" list, AnTuTu takes into account the average score of phones that are currently on sale and tested on a certain number of different models.

Since the Galaxy Note 20 models are not yet available worldwide and have not been sufficiently user-tested, AnTuTu may not have included these devices in the August list. The Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will likely find their place in the September list, but if they manage to reach the top, time will tell.
